If I had a higher grit I’d go higher, but 320 was a drastic enough improvement that I’m happy enough with it now. All that to say, I did not have high expectations. My one hope was maybe this is good enough to recommend to a beginner who doesn’t know if they want to play. But no, I cannot in good conscience recommend this for beginners who don’t have someone in their lives that can fix a guitar. And once you buy it, if you decide you don’t want to play guitar, you’re not going to be able to resell it easily because there is no active secondhand market for these.

I picked up these low-cost instruments (I teach guitar, bass, ukulele & banjo) for beginners so the parents didn’t “”break the bank”” in prematurely purchasing a finer instrument… Range for Glarry Instruments is between $40 & $100 for any beginner quality instrument , but cost truly reflects the average quality with these. Ordered a guitar, and after reading negative reviews about their scamming habits, cancelled my order.

Frets were flawless the neck pocket is super tight.beautiful paint job. It’s amazing for less than $100 you can get a playable guitar let alone a great guitar.
